• The GG Project has been submitted in response to ASI Call for a small scientific mission issued in 1997

• It  has been selected and funded by ASI for Phase A Study

• The GG Phase A Study Report was completed by November 1998 and presented to ASI and the space community in December 1998 (click here to see the viewgraphs of the GG presentation, Rome November 30, 1998)

• Although eventually GG  was not the mission selected for flight, it was highly appreciated by the scientific committee of ASI, which has ever since provided limited funding for the development of the GGG laboratory prototype

• In the fall of 2000 the GG space Project was funded by ASI for an Advanced Phase A Study. The study began in January 2001 and will be completed by May 2002
